DMCC was established in 1991 to provide quality care and education for children and families in the surrounding area.
We love celebrating the on-going relationships we have with our families and seeing our ‘DMCC’ kids out and about in the community.
We are located on the corner of Lake Road and Owens Road, Devonport.
DMCC encourages children to be …”competent and confident learners and communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society”…. which aligns with the core goal of our ECE curriculum of Aotearoa.
(Pg 5. Te Whāriki He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa; Early childhood curriculum)AM TEA, Lunch, PM TEA and Late Snack are supplied at DMCC.
All meals are made in house by our wonderful cook Jenny Su.
Caterpillars (Under Twos) enjoy a mainly finger food menu to encourage self help and regulation skills.
(Children needing soft foods are cared for too)
Chrysalis and Junior Butterlies and Butterflies enjoy a cooked meal at each lunchtime.
The age groups eat a different times to cater for the different needs of the groups.
